Minimum Volume Requirement For Bulk Mailing

Getting the lowest bulk rates for your direct mail can save you money. The key is to pre-plan your mail and make sure it meets USPS (United States Postal Service) requirements. That's where a bulk mailing service like Click2Mail comes in. We'll take care of everything, including a bulk mail permit, CASS (Courier Address Standardization) and NCOA (National Change of Address) processing, addressing your items, presorting them, adding Intelligent Mail Barcodes and delivering them to the post office BMEU.

To qualify for bulk mail discounts, your mailing must meet certain guidelines: Minimum Volume Requirement for Bulk Mailing

A non-profit department must prepare all of the pieces in its bulk mailing and be able to provide proof of its status as a non-profit organization. Each piece must be identical in material and weight. It must be mailed within the United States and must have a return address and indicia that identify the sender. The return address must be printed on all the pieces in the mailing. It must be in black ink or the UNM logo and the indicia must contain the UNM name, address and zip code. It must be a total of 200 or more pieces or at least 50 pounds.

Mailings that meet these guidelines can qualify for the lowest bulk postage rate, which is subsidized by the U.S. Postal Service, as well as reduced printing and processing costs. The Mail Center can assist you in preparing your bulk mailings and can provide the appropriate forms, envelopes and stamps.
